2026-05-26: JupyterHub Update of default environment

the default environment is being changed from Conda Python 3.11 to Conda Python 3.13.

The change shouldn't affect any kernels except for the default Python3 kernel. However, you might need to update your code when using the default kernel with significant newer versions of almost all module.

If you encounter any problems, just fall back to Python 3.11 or get in touch with maxwell.service@desy.de.

The Python 3.13 environment comes with support for jupyter-ai and can use AI providers like the DESY assistant or blablador. Have a look at the Jupyter AI page.
